David Dorfman's Prophets of Funk sold out a six-night stand at Jacob's Pillow. Prior to its fall premiere at BAM's Next Wave Festival, Dorfman is in residency at MASS MoCA with a new multimedia work driven by the charged poetry and ferocity of indie, punk,and folk-rock music. Five dancers, a band of musicians, a junk sculpture-contributed to by the audience-and stunning projections create a kinetic anthem about humanity.
