Anyone going to this? I was thinking of going down Saturday afternoon to take a look around. Can't say I recognize any of the showcase acts. The home recording workshop is interesting. www.nemexpo.com/index.html

First I've heard of this, and unfortunately I can't go. Definitely let us know if you go.

Just got back. Hopefully, next year will be more interesting than this year. Really not a whole lot of booths, but some interesting stuff. Only caught one band, an instrumental Steve Vai guitar god. It was ok. The sound was terrible. Couldn't hear the bass or drums so well, but the drummer sucked anyway so it didn't matter. The guitarist was pretty good though. It wasn't that crowded either, so next year, they should work on promotion.
The convention center is awesome though. Great building to host stuff like this. They just need to improve the sound at the live stage next year.

That's cool that they had that, and they certainly did not advertise this well. Your post is the only thing I heard about it. It's a shame. I would've liked to have checked that out. Thanks for the report.

Isn't CMJ this week in New York? If so, that's probably bad timing to put them both so close to each other at the same time, even though they are kind of different.
It's already confirmed for next year at the same time, so we'll see how it goes.
