Hi ... I just found this forum so I'll introduce myself.
I'm Danny and I book shows and promote pop music in New Haven and southern CT.
We call our project Tweefort. There isn't much of a pop scene in this area, so our mission is to find local pop bands and pair them with traveling indiepop, twee and shoegaze bands in order to introduce people to new music and foster something of a pop music following. We've been booking shows since March of this year.
We're also working on a series of pop music compilation CDs with CT, regional, national and international bands on them. We'll be releasing our first comp Friday, Aug. 7 at Cafe Nine in New Haven with a regional pop showcase. We'll be giving the CD away for free.
We've got some great shows coming up in the next month or so. I posted a bunch of them to the calendar.
