The Groove Junkies will be performing on Friday, March 13th at a new venue in Stamford called, "Monster B's". We're expecting a great time! The bar even has a "Monster Truck" that will drive around the Stamford area to pick you up, and take you home FOR FREE! Can't beat that guys, come on down!!! On Saturday, prepare yourself for the absolute craziest party of the YEAR at The Bayou in Albany, NY. If there's EVER a time for a ROAD TRIP, this is IT!!! Last year we arrived around 3:00 pm to thousands of people flooding the streets, the bars, etc. and literally had to step over several people already passed out on the street! Nighttime gets nuts, so you don't wanna miss out on the insanity! And don't worry, there's a Hampton Inn directly across the street so you won't have to drive anywhere (assuming it's not full yet). It's gonna be one crazy weekend! www.thegroovejunkies.comwww.myspace.com/thegroovejunkies

How was Monster B's?? ~ Frank Well... let's just say that Friday the 13th lived up to its expectations. For some reason, Stamford was DEAD that night. Not just Monster B's, but all of the surrounding area as well. There was hardly anyone at the place when we showed up (maybe 40 people) and many of them left before we even started. Monster B's had someone drive around Stamford to see if the rest of the town was hopping and as it turns out, no one was busy. Just one of those nights... *sigh* We ended up stopping after 2 sets and offering a discount on our price for ending early, simply because it wasn't worth it for us to keep playing to a handful of people, and we didn't feel it was right to continue to charge the bar for playing to that handful of people (there were obviously losing money on the deal). They agreed and we worked out an amicable agreement. The bright side is that they absolutely loved us and want to build us up in the place. He guaranteed that the next time we play, there will be people. So, we'll give it another shot and see how it goes.
