I'll be the first to start the Gig Report that John has mentioned.
Our show at The Red Door was absolutely slamming! It was a completely packed house by 10 pm and we kept it that way until closing. We were told by security and bartenders that it was just as packed as a Funbags or Zoo show, so we felt pretty good about that! In the interest of keeping people there, we had made the decision to do 2 long sets instead of 3 shorter ones and that decision worked to our benefit, since 95% of the crowd remained until our very last song.
Crowd response was awesome right out of the gate. Our very first song (a new one) started off with 8 staccato beats and we had the lighting effects engineer time his strobes to the beats. On every down beat, the strobes came on steady and on every downbeat they went off. The effect was awesome!
We put on our usual energetic show with rarely a moment of downtime between songs. As with all our shows, the guitar, bass and singer all meandered through the crowd with our wireless units to the bar. Once standing on the bar, we continued playing, each enjoying a Jaeger shot from the house.
At one point we had our usual gaggle of hot chicks dancing up on stage. Ryan even got a walk around the crowd on his brothers shoulders, while singing.
Danielle, the lead singer from Jimmy Hat also joined us on stage to sing Talk Dirty To Me from Poison. Thanks, Danielle!
All in all, it was a high energy show with tons of people and tons of fun had by all. Keith doesn't even remember playing the last 10 songs!!! Not to worry, he played them fine!
We would like to thank everyone that came to The Red Door to support us. You guys ROCK!
