Thought I would throw this thread out here for the heck of it. Does anyone know any good places for a solo acoustic musician to play?
I've been playing Happy Hour at Pig's Eye Pub in Hartford regularly over the last several years and I love it there. It's a perfect fit for me. Anyone have any suggestions on other good bars that host solo acoustic guys/gals?
Just curious for myself and any others who seek out those gigs.

Voodoo Grill in Mystic, CT likes solo artists and duos - it's a small place so they can't really do full bands. When we were an acoustic duo, we used to play there a lot. I'm sure you can find some other low key places, though I can't think of any others in particular right now. Try looking up places with more of a restaurant environment than a primarily bar environment. Good luck! thevoodoogrill.com

if you want a good place down in Newtown, try Proud Mary's; they have a good crowd every weekend.
