I just started programming my own sets into this module and wow! Very realistic snare samples. Not too much machine gun sound on fast rolls either. I have a feeling I haven't begun to scratch the surface of what this thing is capable of!

Awesome, you know I have one too. Once you really start getting into programming the Utility side of things you'll really love it. I kinda want to start drumming in a band again now that I have my sounds just how I want them.

And I have to say that they sounds great. There seem to be some big improvements that Roland has made from one series to the other. I cant wait to hear what they sound like run through a 900 watt amp. I think once you get those things dialed in exactly how you want them, they are going to sound huge.

Yeah, Roland is one of those companies that actually listen to what musicians want to hear...I have to say that any Roland product I have ever owned(Pedals, Amps, Electronic Drums) have never let me down. The only thing is that they give you TOO much to choose from for drum sounds, lol.
John, I may have to pick your brain on those "dialed in" kits you have- I have one kit that sounds good but I'm sure after a week or so of noodling, it will sound much better...

Yeah, any time. I've devoted a ton of time into getting my kits just right. It's a shame I never had them the way I really wanted when I was still in a band, haha. I can send you some of my settings to try if you'd like.

I can send you some of my settings to try if you'd like. That would be great. I spent some time last night listening to most of the drum sounds and have a better sounding kit than I had the day before but I would like to hear what you have. I'll write mine out and let you try them out too.
