Hey guys,
Looking for guidance on what is a good wireless bass system. Last one I got was a piece of junk, I guess thats what you get when you buy the cheapest one.

I have a Shure system that I love. But sadly, I don't think they make it anymore. I'll find out the model # and you might be able to find one on eBay. Great range, no drop in volume or tone and the battery life was awesome. I don't know if the new Shure's are as good.

Thanks John. Figured I would go ask around before I just go out and buy another cheap one. Also, since it is a Christmas present from my girlfriend, I would prefer a new one!!!!
I finally made it on your board by the way. How did Daniel Street go?

Definately can't go wrong a Sure system. This is probably the least expensive one you could get: www.americanmusical.com/item--i-SHU-PG14-H7.htmlHowever, it is only rated down to 45 Hz, not so great for bass. The step up would be: www.americanmusical.com/item--i-SHU-ULXS14-J1.htmlIt's rated down to 25 Hz wich would handle the lower spectrum os the instrument much better. Everything is pretty much UHF (300 - 3000 MHz) transmit now. Back in the early days of wireless and up until a few years ago there were a lot of VHF (30 - 300 MHz) transmitter systems. Stay away from those if anybody has inventory, that is unless you want a trucker's CB to possibly come across the system.

I'd like to hold off on playing there again until we have a bigger crowd there. But who knows.
