My sister-in-law is getting married next year and was wondering how much a wedding band would cost. She asked me, since I'm a musician but I haven't the foggiest. Any help from those of you who may do this?

I'm in a wedding band. Actually my main band is really 2 bands in 1. We do club shows as Big Floppy Disk and weddings as SideShow. Depends on the event. I'd say the cheapest wedding band you'll find will be between $1500 and $2000. They average higher and I know some bands around here charge $8000 and more for weddings. There's probably higher priced bands as well.

You might want to try out the Wedding Expo that they have at the Big-E every year. There are a bunch of dedicated wedding bands that play there during the expo to drum up buisness and have special promotional deals going on.

That's a good idea, or check out any wedding showcases, they seem to have those all the time if you look around.
