Any opinions/advice on the local booking agents? Good and bad experiences? I've had contact with some with varied results.

I've used the major ones in CT, Tanentunes, AAA, but had the most success with funbags productions, but I'm not sure he's still doing it. It's www.funbagsproductions.comI've heard Stars is good too.

I've used Tanentunes and AAA myself. Tanentunes was fine, as long as you drew and didn't make a fool of yourself, but I never had any luck with AAA. When I was in an original band, we were a heavy modern rock band, so she constantly booked us with everything BUT other bands in our genre. So we'd end up playing some blues club opening for a Dave Matthews type band, so people weren't into it. So then she wouldn't book us again. Plus, she (can't remember her name) can be difficult to deal with. It sucks, because I love playing Springfield. People really get out there for local music.

we've had some pretty good luck with tannentunes...it's true that he wants you to draw but...who doesn't... ;D
mark's helped us out in getting into some places...of course it's up to the band to stay in those places...which we've been lucky in doing...
also have a nice realtionship with hotroc...but they only book 1 place...
