Did they fix the AC yet? We played there very recently and the AC is on the fritz. They have all of the windows open with fans but that only helped a little. Bring personal fans if you have them.

LOL.. I warned the band about it before hand. Last I knew it still wasn't working and they were trying a small one.. One good thing is the last couple days the humidy has left. So it should be alitte cooler. But once people start dancing it won't make a difference.

Very true. It wasn't that bad when we played (June 30th). It was a cooler night but the week before they had a band and they played VERY short sets and took big breaks. I think the drummer nearly had a heat stroke. It should be much better with less humidity like you said.
Plus, I love doing sound in that room, it's so easy it's almost scary. Should be a good gig.

Last time Federal Bison played there it was insane. So we are hoping for the same.

Rock the house man. Anyone in the area should go check out Federal Bison tonight in Torrington. It's always a good time.

Something in the water in Torrington. Branded Soul has played Otter's twice and both time we got a small mosh pit going.
I'm the 'metal guy' in the band and I usually have two or three people come up to me and request stuff like Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Avenged Sevenfold. At Otter's I get fifteen guys all wanting to hear Sevendust, Dio, old-school Metallica, Slayer, etc.
I love it...I just wished we played more of it!

Not yet, I never even knew Torrington existed before we played Otters. Hopefully in the future, I can get my next project down that way.

Torrington is supposedly becoming a great spot for local music. I've only been out once to Otters.

We just firmed up two more shows at Otter's - 9/9 and 10/14. I'm a little sketchy on the fact they are only a month apart *and* on a Saturday but that joint hasn't let me down yet.

That's what I was hoping. I got the date of show #2 wrong - it is on the 21st so that give us about six week between. I'm comfortable with that, for sure.
Memories on Main contacted me about playing a show there but I haven't heard enough good things about it to pursue it any further.
