Is anyone Interested in a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100W Head and 1960 LEAD Angled Half Cab Speaker? $1400
Unfortunately, I'm thinking of downgrading my rig due to that fact that I haven't been using it. Presently, I'm performing in an Oldies/classic rock band, and this amp is just way too ballsy for the swinging 50s-60s covers. Also, this amp deserves to be played.
Great/Excellent Condition, Used for about a year with my previous band Old Marsh in venues such as The Brickyard, Webster Theater's big stage, Toads Place, ect. And I've always loved everybit of full, rich dynamics this amp brings forward,,,it made me a better player! Since the OM has been on hiatus, this amp has sat lonely in my bandroom (in the Cases) for the past 4yrs only being used about 2x a year.
The 100 Watt amp consists of 3 independent channels. 1. Clean 2. A crunchy distorted rhythm 3. Over the top high gain solid lead distortion perfect to punch out solos. As soon as I purchased this amp, I had it modified and properly biased with 4 E34L JJ tubes & 4 ECC83S Preamp JJ Tubes through Euro-Tubes. This added a sweet clarity in the clean, fullness to the rhythm & the Solo channel is over the top - can be felt 5 rows back. (the original tubes will be included if wanted) Also the Road Case & Marshall Speaker cover Included!
The only fault i've ran into and never totally fixed is the foot switch, that might need to be replaced. It works fine as long as its set up properly before the gig. I think the chip inside the foot switch is a little banged up from the wires being pulled out on one occasion (not a very good design for such a heavy duty metal box). I fixed it once but it was never the same. The replacement 5 button foot switch is easy to find through Musicians Friend for about $100. Other that that, This amp works great and is loud!
Id hate to part with this beast but I see a smaller combo amp in my near future.
$1400 and its all yours (head, speaker cab, foot switch, original tubes, & Both cases) Overall, I invested over $2500 into this rig.
If interested, or if you would like to stop by for a test drive, or have questions or want pictures emailed, Please email me: rlasky76@comcast.net
