Let us know how the show goes. I don't know much about that place, but I've heard good things.

The show went well. There were fireworks and a carnival that night, so the place didn't start filling in until after 11:00 pm. But that's okay, because bands don't start until around 11:00. The weird part about the place is that you cannot start to setup your equipment until after 10:00, when they officially close the dining room and remove all the tables. It doesn't leave a lot of time for setup. We were lucky that they weren't using the backroom that night, so we partiallly set up our gear ahead of time and simply moved it into the room when the tables were clear. As far as the place itself, it's a classy place run by some Irishmen. Nice hardwood everywhere... kind of like the Playwright. Don't bring band stickers; they don't allow them because people put them on the expensive wood. It is definitely a hard room to play. Everyone likes to hang out beyond the dancefloor (past a 1/2 wall) by the bar. But we had a lot of our own people there to break the ice and start dancing. Once that happened, many of the regulars came out too. We worked the room well and the owner was pleased, so we'll be coming back. I'll have pics up on www.thegroovejunkies.com/photos.html soon...

Very cool, sounds like a fun gig. Looks like it too! I haven't ventured to Fairfield County in a while. I think I need to.
